London!
I made it to London! The first couple days were spent wandering around the major sights with my father. London makes a huge impact immediately. We had gorgeous days, which was perfect as we spent a lot of time walking. The photos below are from our first day in London.We walked across a lot of bridges, or more specifically the London Bridge, the Tower Bridge and the Millennium Bridge many times. Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore is outstanding. We almost missed out on this landmark after getting so lost in Yellowstone. We started in Montana and the drive was extremely long, but it was worth the trip. The beautiful sculpture, featuring former presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln, is located in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. The project began in 1927 and ended in 1941 and had 400 workers with no fatalities. Walking up the mountain and seeing the carvings for the first time is incredible. Road Trip Through America Day Two
Day Two of our road trip through America featured a lot of driving. We finished Washington and Oregon and tried to get through as much of Idaho as possible. The first and one of the only lookouts we found in Oregon was on the top of a mountain, overlooking beautifully sculpted fields and farms. As we continued the drive we noticed the mountains creeping on the right side of the car. The snow capped blue giants in the distance looked stunning against the dark fields. Road Trip Through America Day One
I just moved from Vancouver, British Columbia to my hometown in Georgetown, Ontario. My incredible father came out to help me move and we had a road trip back through the United States. It was a really long drive, but we were really lucky and had great weather. We had a few places we wanted to see – Craters of the Moon, Yellowstone National Park, and Mount Rushmore – but the rest was just driving. Day One was a half day of driving through Washington. Sunshine After the Rain
Rain had taken over Vancouver, creating a dark, damp, dreary week. Then the sun came out and those mountains appear and you immediately forget how miserable it was. People come out in hoards, couples walking across the bridge, kids chasing pigeons on Granville Island and bikes galore! Here are some of my shots from the sunset that evening.

We Missed the Sunset
A friend and I tried to catch the sunset from the Cambie bridge but missed it. It was nice to get the glow off the buildings, Vancouver looks science fiction-y during these times of day.

Sunset in Vancouver
A couple weeks ago I grabbed my camera as I left to get cat food. I usually don’t bring it with me on little walks but something was compelling me. As I turned onto Broadway and looked downtown I was shocked. The sunset had created an almost volcanic look to the clouds coming off the mountain. The quick trip turned into a fourty-five minute walk around Kits, but it was well worth it. Enjoy!
