I was looking through my photos recently and realized I neglected to post my Gastown shots. These were taken a few months back when my father was in town, and contain some of my favourite photos from Vancouver. Enjoy!

Portland
When my parents came into town last week, we took a quick trip down to Portland. The city was a lot different then I was expecting, but it was too short a trip to really get a feel of the town. The buildings were higher, and there were roads and bridges high above the water. It felt more boxed in, crowded and removed from nature. The architecture is stunning, all the old buildings and stone streets were beautiful and the transit system is incredible. East Van
Last week I went to visit a friend in East Van, the plan was to look around and take some photos, unfortunately our first stop was Bomber Brewery. After drinking a few beers we grabbed food and went to a park to lie in the sun. Not too many pictures were taken but good times were had.

Moron
The city of Moron in Cuba was my favourite stop on the Jeep tour. The decaying architecture, the bright colours and expressive people showed a side of the country we didn’t experience on our island. It would have been nicer to be in a bigger group while walking around the city in order to explore more comfortably but we did try to fit in as much as possible. I love taking street shots and doing it in a foreign country with a different way of life was incredible. Everything about this stop was wonderful and only made me want to go out more back in Vancouver.

On Wednesday, my roommate and I took the train to Seattle for the day. It was a very long but fun day in the US, and here are some street shots from the day.
