• Brighton Pier

We had the most gorgeous weather on our day trip to Brighton Pier. To get from London to Brighton, we grabbed a train from Clapham Junction. The short ride along the bright green fields was lovely, especially in the morning. Upon leaving the station we immediately headed towards the ocean. Being close to the ocean is one of the reasons I moved to Halifax and Vancouver, there is nothing like the smell of salt water and the cool breeze. The pebble beach is stunning, and because it was slightly cool, not very crowded. Fun fact: I was looking on the Brighton website and learned there is “apparently around 614,600,000 pebbles on…

  • Trout Lake

Sunday was a beautiful, ridiculously warm, day in Vancouver. Walking to the bus I saw a guy in shorts and a t-shirt. It was a little excessive, but it is getting close to summer on the west coast. I headed down to East Vancouver to hang out with my friend and took a stroll around Trout Lake. It was beautiful, it is always a good day when you can see the mountains. It is nice to be able to do most of the outdoor west coast things before I leave the province, but it is really strange to not have a real winter. Trout Lake is really relaxing, and a nice…

  • First Beach Day! Part Two

There were a lot of people at the beach soaking in the sun which lead for perfect candids. When you can see the mountains, Vancouver is incredibly beautiful. It is so nice to be in a city where you can escape into nature in less than ten minutes.

  • First Beach Day! Part One

The sun is shining and it is finally warm enough to head to the beach. I headed down to Kits beach to enjoy the warm weather and take some pictures of the incredible landscape. Here are the first batch of photos from this glorious day.

  • Jeep Tour in Cuba

On our last day in Cuba we decided to partake in an all in one tour – dolphins, jeep tour, crocodiles and the city of Moron. We talked to two separate people about this tour and neither mentioned the crocodile conservatory, so ending up there was quite the surprise. My friend decided she needed to touch every animal on the conservatory and a few of the men felt we needed to be told what a pony, guinea pig and puppy were, it was a strange experience. We were also put with a couple from Newfoundland who bickered and fought in the tiny jeep as we sat like stubborn children in…

  • Diamond Head

Diamond Head is a giant crater in Honolulu. The climb up the trail is taxing, it is a steep incline to a cave then a sharp set of stairs to a lookout. Once you get to the top there is a slight breeze and the views are spectacular. The turquoise water, tiny buildings and beautiful landscapes are worth every sweaty step.
