• Lunenberg and Tall Ships Festival

[slideshow] My friends are very interested in sustainability and community gardens. Three of them work on a garden behind the Dean of Residents for Kings College. When they found a flyer for a mushroom workshop, they were thrilled. On Sunday they rented a car and trekked out to Lunenberg for the workshop. This was lucky for me, as I had very little interest in the workshop, I hitched a ride and explored Lunenberg for the day. Seafood on the harbor front, exploring the beautiful architecture (the school was unbelievable) and napping in the park. My day was incredibly relaxing and wonderful. I had never explored a place by myself before, and all that…

  • Treaty Day

On Friday it was Treaty Day in Halifax, so I trekked down to Grand Parade with my camera and got some cool photos. It is the 24th anniversary of Treaty Day, and the portion I saw was the flag raising. I also met Mayor Peter Kelly which was cool. The first few photos are his encounter with some teenage girls. I loved their reactions so I thought I would post them.
