Kelowna
Camping in Kelowna was picturesque. The weather hovered around thirty degrees and a cool breeze rolled off the water. The fast moving river beside our site drifted in through the waterfalls showcased on the trail across the street. Canadian geese walked, swam and flew just beside us the whole time, while other wildlife kept its distance. This was the perfect way to relax and spend my holiday. The pictures ended up being better than I imagined and I cannot wait to explore more of British Columbia.

East vs West Vancouver
This week Vancouver was outrageously beautiful. The mood in the city lightened and everyone was friendly. This was a spectacular Easter weekend, especially seeing both sides of Vancouver. All of the flowers and trees are beginning to bloom adding a pop of colour to the streets and it was so clear that you could see every inch of the city.

Lynn Canyon and Wreck Beach
The best part about living in Vancouver is living so close to nature. While some childhood friends were down we spent the day at Lynn Canyon and Wreck Beach. The morning was freezing, it hailed when we were walking up Lynn Canyon, but the fog in the trees was stunning. By the time we reached Wreck Beach the sun was out and skies were blue. The ocean was so still, you could make out every detail in the reflections. This also allowed for a breathtaking sunset.

British Columbia
We finally reached our destination! Waking up in the early morning, watching the fog drift over the water proved British Columbia’s beauty. Our drive was to Whistler which meant we would spend the whole trip driving through the mountains. Our soundtrack: The Civil Wars. Blasting ‘Barton Hollow‘ while the mountains surrounded us was sensational. The powerful vocals and heavy pounding beat encompassed us as the mountains grew. The weight of the world could be on my shoulders but looking back at this moment brings me peace. We are so little, the world so big. After the powerhouse performance the atmosphere shifts – ‘The Violet Hour‘ forcing you into contemplation. The soft piano…
