Her upbeat and positive personality is good but can also get her in trouble. Believing everything will go well makes Jess a little naive, which is why her friendships with the boys, and CeCe Meyers are so important. Cece is a strong, confident person and looks out for Jess. Schmidt – like Cher apparently – is the egotistical, womanizer of The New Girl. (Think Barney Stinson). Although he may be clean his mouth is not, and anything dirty means money in the douchebag jar. Until moving in with this group Schmidt was obese causing his obsession with appearance.

Schmidt is well put together, has a great job and loves life. While he may be an absurd human, you can’t say he doesn’t live life to the fullest and go for what he loves. After playing basketball in Latvia for two years, Winston Bishop rejoined his friends in the apartment. Bishop grew up with romate Nick Miller, and is the common sense of the group.When he first came back to America he had no idea what had been happening, and he had a hard time keeping a job. Bishop is a fast learner – picking up the bells – likes ducks and believes Santa Claus and werewolves are real.

Nick Miller had his life planned out for him, a great girlfriend, a year and a half left of law school and a job bar tending on the side. When he gets dumped his life plan changes, Miller decided to leave law school tend bar full time.

Nick is pessimistic, and against Jess’ childlike optimism, he looks even more grouchy. He is a nice guy and is always there for his friends, even helping new friend Jess within the first day of meeting her. Nicks style is very simple, plaid or long sleeve shirt and jeans.
