Dance and fashion are heavily intertwined. For choreographers, the style of your piece can be seen through the costumes. It can add another layer to the dance that will amp up the performance. In fashion, dance can be seen in the style of editorials or campaigns. Ballet in particular shows off the movement of the clothing. Dance can also help models with their poses, adding interesting shapes. Above are three different editorials focused on the dance theme, all the models creating incredible poses with their bodies. The first comes from Glass Magazines Winter 2011 Editorial “We Dance Around In a Ring, and Suppose, But The Secret Sits in the Middle and Knows.” It is photographed by Neil Kirk and styled by David Nolan. The second comes from Vogue Russia’s special editorial photographed by Patrick Demarshelier and featuring prima ballerina Diana Vishneva. And the last photo is taken from Bon Magazine’s Spring/Summer 2011 edition. “Dancing in the Dark” is photographed by Ben Weller and styled by Clare Richardson.
