America’s Best Dance Crew – Rihanna
This week of America’s Best Dance Crew showcased superstar Rihanna’s tracks. To help the crews integrate her signature Dance Hall moves into their routines was Rihanna’s choreographer Tenesha Scott. The first crew to advance to the next episode is Instant Noodles and they must feature the Head Top in their routine to the song ‘Hard‘ featuring Jay-Z. The number was good and had a very cool trick section but it was not as strong as their previous routine.

Next up was Iconic Boyz featuring the move Give It A Run to Rihanna’s hit ‘Only Girl In The World.’ The routine was cute, very much the same style they always have. I like that they branched out and tried some b-boy tricks and flips.

The next crew’s moving on to the next episode were I Am Me and Street Kingdom. I Am Me were first performing to ‘S & M.’ The move they were to recreate was The Spiderman. The routine was cool, great concept.

Street Kingdom were the next crew to hit the stage performing to ‘Rude Boy.’ Their signature move was The Dutty Wine. Their concept was really good, great performance.

Phunk Phenomenon and 787 Crew were put head to head to fight for the right to dance on the stage next week. Phunk Phenomenon were first to perform to Rihanna’s hit “Please Don’t Stop The Music.” The signature move they had to portray was the Chaplin. The beginning was really cool, very smooth transitions and hard hitting moves. The end was good but their speed decreased and their movements weren’t as interesting. Very good routine though.

787 Crew performed next to “What’s My Name” incorporating the Gallis Step. This performance was good. They always have incredible tricks but it felt slow and didn’t have the same energy as they usually have. They had good movement and transitions too.

Which crew’s “dream’s were snuffed out?” (Dear sweet, Mario) 787 Crew were the next crew to leave the show meaning Phunk Phenomenon was asked to dance again next week. Based on tonight’s performance I agree with the judges, but 787 Crew put up a good fight this competition.
